At the end of last week’s blog post, I was mystified as to why little blue wooden hearts were staked into the ground along the banks of the River Sid flowing through Byes Riverside Park, Sidmouth.

After posting on social media, I was delighted to have my curiosity satisfied when I received the answer via Twitter. Thank you to Cherry Hudson who explained ‘they represent an area which is undergoing nature recovery, to support biodiversity.’ Further explanation is given by the Vision Group For Sidmouth.

No wonder the town, countryside and beaches are so inspiring.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

All the best,
Sue. X
